Quake 2 for Android

Welcome! This is an effort to bring id Software Quake 2 to the Google Android OS. Quake 2 for Android has the following features:

1. Hardware acceleration with OpenGL.
2. Single player or multi player modes.
3. Full MP3 (16 bit) sound
4. Inputs by keyboard or touch screen.

Status

This software has been tested in the emulator only. It must be tested on a real device to get a feeling for the real FPS. Nevertheless, there are a list of bugs you must read!

Known bugs

Quake 2 for Android has some obscure OpenGL issues. Read this carefully before requesting an APK!

1. The final graphic on exit does not draw.
2. The text on the inventory window won't display (Hit TAB on a game and you'll see).
3. Text in the console won't display. OpenGL issues? who knows...
4. Polygons in the sky won't display when on multiplayer mode if you look up.
5. Besides these issues, the game seems to render pretty good!
